If you are a shooter or hunter, this is your site! It was developed to fill a need for information about shotguns, choke tubes and ammunition.
I have fired thousands of rounds of ammunition through most major brands of shotguns including Benelli, Beretta, Browning, Mossberg, Remington, Winchester and several other lesser-known brands. I've tested all major brands of choke tubes and some that are only available on a limited basis. I've tested prototype choke tubes, prototype barrels and visited with many firearms and ammunition manufacturers.
I've met and include as friends, shooting professionals, ammo makers, gunsmiths and many just plain shooters. I've had the opportunity to find out what shooters are looking for in the performance of their shotguns.
I've recorded scores from hundreds of targets. I have shot many shotgun/choke tube/ammo combinations. I've shot those combinations at distances of 30 yards, 40 yards and beyond. I've learned a lot about how particular shotgun/ammo/choke tube combinations work at various distances and under various conditions.
I've been privileged to shoot in Sanctioned Still Target Shoots in many states. For the last several years, I've shot in Grand National and World Championship Still Target Shoots, sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation and I currently hold the World Record in the 20 gauge class.
We live in an exciting time for shooters and hunters. There are many innovative thinkers and developers who are bringing great products to the marketplace. I test many of those products. I can help you decide if they will help you to become a better shooter and hunter. I offer individual advice on shotguns, ammunition and choke tubes.
